Primordial
Often it's liberating not to think to hard, and simply mess around. I can't say there was much planning involved here, just a desire to use quite a lot of silk fibre during the slip application process, and to 'mess it around' in such a way that its distribution became rather uneven. Black and yellow Mason stain solutions were sprayed at various points in the creation process, and mixed in to varying extent using a pallette knife in a well-intentioned 'chaotic' fashion. After all, I love to be surprised and often, a bit of carelessness is just what's needed, to deliver some 'worthwhile' mistakes. The porcelain flakes around the rim of the vessel were successfully held in place by the silk fibre upon final balloon deflation. This vessel is very much alive.
