Midnight Blues

I usually work with white porcelain, but this was a notable exception sparked by a certain blue-black patina obtained on another vessel that really should not have survived the day. The porcelain slip was stained jet black using Mason stain right at the very start of the creation process. Another notable feature was the significant amount of silk fibre that was added to create greater textural depth. Clearly, I must forget about transluscency and just focus on the midnight blues.
